ECF Scheduled Downtime on Saturday 3/18/17 and Saturday 3/25/17

Tuesday, March 7, 2017

NextGen CM/ECF, Electronic Case Filing [ECF], PACER, filing claims via the court website [ePOC], filing financial certificates via the court website [eFinCert], website calendars, and VCIS will be unavailable to all users on the following dates and times as the Court tests a 7 day read/write failover and subsequent failback in support of the Courts' "Continuity Of Operations" (COOP) plan for NextGen CM/ECF.

Saturday, March 18th 12:00AM to Saturday, March 18th 6:00AM Pacific

The Infrastructure Management Office will perform scheduled maintenance at the AT&T Internet Data Center in San Diego, CA. This scheduled downtime is unrelated to the COOP test.

Saturday, March 18th, 8:00AM Pacific to 10:00AM Pacific

The "failover" - where the primary NextGen CM/ECF servers (hosted in San Diego, CA) will be taken off-line and the secondary (or, replication) servers (hosted in Ashburn, VA) will assume the primary server role.

Saturday, March 25th, 8:00AM Pacific to 10:00AM Pacific

The "failback" - where the replication servers (hosted in Ashburn, VA) will be taken off-line and the primary NextGen CM/ECF servers (hosted in San Diego, CA) will resume their primary server roles.

In addition to these scheduled dates and times, there will be a high potential for broken functionality and interruptions in service in NextGen CM/ECF and related applications the weekend of March 18th.

To report issues or service interruptions during the failover period, please use the Contact Us page on this website and select the "E-Filing Technical Problem" category.
