Court Operations During Government Shutdown

Friday, September 29, 2023

In the event of a federal government shutdown, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Oregon will remain open and continue operations.  The court will continue to accept new case filings, receive and process documents and fees, and hear matters.  CM/ECF and the Public Document Upload will remain operational to accept electronic filings.  Judges hearing calendars and 341 meeting of creditor calendars will continue to be updated on the court’s website.  Pay.gov will remain available for online payments.  Public counters and telephone lines will be open during normal business hours.

Attorneys and parties should monitor their cases closely in the event that the presiding judge issues any orders extending deadlines or continuing hearings.

Section 341 meetings of creditors will be held as scheduled until further notice.
