Judge Peter C. McKittrick has been designated Chief Judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Oregon effective October 1, 2025, for a five-year term.  Per 28 U.S.C §154(b), the chief judge of the bankruptcy court shall ensure that the rules of the bankruptcy court and of the district court are observed and that the business of the bankruptcy court is handled effectively and expeditiously.
