Federal Judiciary Continues to Operate During Shutdown

Wednesday, December 26, 2018

Despite a partial shutdown of the federal government that began on December 22, 2018, the federal judiciary remains open and can continue operations for approximately three weeks, through January 11, 2019, by using court fee balances and other funds not dependent on a new appropriation. Meetings of creditors (341 meetings) and court hearings will be held as scheduled. CM/ECF will continue to be available, and the clerk's office will be open during normal hours of operation.
